Wodapalooza 2013 – Division Standards

Who should I WOD with?

Wodapalooza is the Fitness Competition for every CrossFitter with a desire to showcase their talents and the courage to expose their weaknesses. If you are considering competing at Wodapalooza it’s because you either did so last year and absolutely loved it, or someone told you’d be crazy not too. The energy, the atmosphere, the venue, the volunteers, were all part of the events success. But as a competitor, you want WOD’s that are well-programmed, fun, and push you mentally and physically. Wodapalooza will once again bring you the best programmed competition, hands down!

You are all athletes and competitors with a determination to give it your all in front of thousands watching and cheering. The division standards exist so that you are grouped with competitors who have a similar level of fitness. This elevates competition for the athlete and the spectator. Regardless of the division, the WODS will be well-rounded test of fitness. Be certain that you will be pushed to that limit…which you love and hate! Feel confident about the division you are in…train hard and be ready come January!

Elite Division

You are a seasoned CrossFitter. You finished the 2012 CF Games Open in the top 125 in your region. You complete all CF Benchmark workouts as prescribed, have all of your gymnastic skills (Muscle ups, HSPU, HS Walks, Double Unders, Rope Climbs, etc.) and lift heavy stuff (Clean 245, 145. Snatch 165, 115). Your are either a CF Games athlete, a Regional Qualifier, or determined to be one this year. This competition will only get you one step closer to that goal.

Rx Division

You complete most CrossFit Benchmark WODs at Rx. Either a skill or two are missing, or the strength numbers are just not there yet to be considered elite. You may have a sub 3 Fran or a 7 minute Helen, but there are still a few things you are working on. You can do kipping pull-ups, double-unders, and rope climbs. Your strength numbers should be at minimum (Clean 175, 105. Snatch 135, 85)

Scaled Division

You recently started CrossFit. You are eager to compete but are at the beginning stages of developing all your skills and/or strength. (No pullups yet, no double unders yet..key word YET!) Strength numbers are in the ballpark of (Clean 135, 85. Snatch 115, 75)

Masters Men 40+ and Women 40+

Your Standards are the same as the Rx Division.

Teams – Same Gender Teams – 3 per Team

Your Standards are the same as the Rx Division.

If you still are unsure as to what division to compete in, post on this blog or email us @ info@wodapaloozamiami.com
Registration will be on the Wodapalooza website; which will be up on or before November 1, 2012.
