A new day is here with endless opportunities to be healthy and happy.
No matter how tough things get, remember that life is a gift. One day none of us reading this email will be here. Every waking second is a gift, and an opportunity; how you spend this gift is what determines the quality of your life.
So let’s drink this cup up; hoping and expecting for it to provide clarity and energy for the day to come.

We all know the saying – “Adapt or die.”
So if we want to adapt in order to not just survive, but even thrive, what will it take? These days we have all faced change that is out of our area of control. We have a choice – become passive and allow life to go by and feel sorry for ourselves….which I know as a community we are not doing. Or we can take initiative and take steps boldly to adapt. Using our intelligence in the form of creativity, ingenuity, or persistence are all forms of intelligence that are required to get through these challenging times.
Be intelligent, be proactive, let’s adapt!!
Finally I get to give you a little nugget of why I choose NOT to eat for at least 16 hours a day.
Intermittent fasting has many benefits. One of the main reasons why I choose to fast daily is because of its positive effects on longevity of health. The process is called Autophagy. Let’s get a little nerdy here for a sec…
Autophagy means “self-eating” — but rest assured, this is a good thing. Autophagy is the method by which your body cleans out damaged cells and toxins, helping you regenerate newer, healthier cells.
Over time, our cells accumulate a variety of dead organelles, damaged proteins and oxidized particles that clog the body’s inner workings. This accelerates the effects of aging and age-related diseases because cells aren’t able to divide and function normally.
Because many of our cells, like those in the brain, need to last a lifetime, the body developed a unique way of ridding itself of those faulty parts and defending itself naturally against disease. Enter: autophagy.
